I am a proud trustee in the Calgary Chapter of the Awesome Foundation and it really is awesome.
Each month we receive numerous applications focused on how to make Calgary a more awesome place. We sift through them all and determine our top 4 and honourable mentions. From there, our top 4 are invited to come and pitch their idea and the only catch is that they must convince us that their idea is worth funding in a mere 90 seconds. In the end, the winner receives $1000 cold hard cash to make their vision happen. It’s all awesome, all the time.
I’m a born and raised Calgarian and I want to play a role in making my City more vibrant, interesting and diverse. I don’t want to sit back and wish there were more cool projects going on. I want to be involved and the Awesome Foundation allows me to do just that!
